That\u2019s how he created\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.quellevoiture.ma\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">QuelleVoiture.ma<\/a>\u00a0(What a Car), a social site bringing together car buyers and sellers. Buyers can find info on cars that are available, read about the race car they dream of buying, and how to maintain the car they can actually afford.<\/p>\n<div><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/img.over-blog-kiwi.com\/0\/73\/87\/12\/2011\/10\/10\/ob_b90e63_quelle-voiture.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"quelle voiture How do you ask the innovation question?\" height=\"219\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/img.over-blog-kiwi.com\/0\/73\/87\/12\/2011\/10\/10\/ob_b90e63_quelle-voiture.png?resize=613%2C219\" title=\"quelle voiture\" width=\"613\"><\/a><\/div>\n<p>\u201c<strong>We simply and viciously copy things people are doing in other places,<\/strong>\u201d he explains \u2013 in this case, that means copying several automobile magazines and other specialized sites. \u201cWhat find what works best. We copy it and then we watch. It makes you think.<\/p>\n<p>Having set off on a world tour of innovation, I realized during the second stage that I\u2019ve been asking the wrong question. And I\u2019m trying to figure out how to correct this.<\/p>\n<p>After spending 15 years in the San Francisco region, the idea that innovation means creating something that didn\u2019t exist before had become ingrained. I was wrong. This false ideal stays with you, as Mohamed Oumazir, who helped me meet Adnane and the others, reminded me with a friendly smile.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Didn\u2019t the great Steve Jobs first see the mouse and graphics interface at the Xerox Parc labs?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Combining these, the Mac changed personal computing. The innovation was in the packaging and marketing. All markets are by definition relative. In fact, even if they\u2019re often less provocative than Adnane, the people I meet seem to be on the same wavelength, with variations that I will have to learn how to interpret.<\/p>\n<p>This is the case, for example, with Carla G\u00f3mez Monroy, a former student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology\u2019s Media Lab. In Mexico, she told me that, even if her country lacked audacious capital (my term) and the incentive to innovate, she was fascinated by the hacking people are doing there, creating solutions \u201cthat are nothing extraordinary, but solve concrete problems.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Copying and modifying and modifying through combination might not be that different.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Innovation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">According to Wikipedia<\/a>, the term comes from the Latin \u201cinnovatus,\u201d to renew or change.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This gives us at least two possibilities:<\/strong>\u00a0innovation means bringing to the market something that didn\u2019t exist before. It also means finding new ways to solve problems in an established space.<\/p>\n<p>So we get to the fact that San Francisco innovates for its geek population is able to spread variations on products and services across multiple markets. But Casablanca, Nairobi, Mumbai and Shenzhen don\u2019t innovate any less, but do so for their own increasingly connected multitudes. Maybe I\u2019m wrong. J\u2019en a rapport\u00e9 des enseignements sur les meilleures fa\u00e7ons de la rendre possible, de l'encourager, de pr\u00e9parer individus, entreprises et nations \u00e0 participer ainsi \u00e0 la construction de leur propre futur. Une aventure fascinante qui m\u2019a permis de rencontrer des gens audacieux, dot\u00e9s d\u2019une grande intelligence ou d\u2019un grand c\u0153ur. Parfois les deux ensembles. Je donne r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement conf\u00e9rences et s\u00e9minaires sur ce sujet dans certaines entreprises fran\u00e7aises de poids : Bouygues Telecom, CapGemini, L'Or\u00e9al, SFR, SNCF, entre autres ainsi que dans des forums moins prestigieux mais dans lesquels l\u2019assistance est passionn\u00e9e Convaincu que l\u2019am\u00e9lioration de nos villes et de la d\u00e9mocratie locale est un enjeu technologique et social majeur, je viens de me lancer dans une nouvelle s\u00e9rie d\u2019enqu\u00eates \u2013 un tour du monde en plusieurs \u00e9tapes nomm\u00e9 Participolis - sur les villes intelligentes ou qui s\u2019efforcent de l\u2019\u00eatre : 20 villes entre janvier 2014 et avril 2015. Je le con\u00e7ois comme une tension constante entre deux p\u00f4les d\u2019un m\u00eame probl\u00e8me : CitySmarting ou l\u2019effort pour rendre les villes plus intelligentes gr\u00e2ce, notamment aux technologies de l\u2019information et Participolis, le fait qu\u2019un meilleur futur pour nos villes ne peut \u00e9merger que de notre participation \u00e0 leur conception et \u00e0 leur gestion. J\u2019en a rapport\u00e9 des enseignements sur les meilleures fa\u00e7ons de la rendre possible, de l'encourager, de pr\u00e9parer individus, entreprises et nations \u00e0 participer ainsi \u00e0 la construction de leur propre futur. Je donne r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement conf\u00e9rences et s\u00e9minaires sur ce sujet dans certaines entreprises fran\u00e7aises de poids : Bouygues Telecom, CapGemini, L'Or\u00e9al, SFR, SNCF, entre autres ainsi que dans des forums moins prestigieux mais dans lesquels l\u2019assistance est passionn\u00e9e Convaincu que l\u2019am\u00e9lioration de nos villes et de la d\u00e9mocratie locale est un enjeu technologique et social majeur, je viens de me lancer dans une nouvelle s\u00e9rie d\u2019enqu\u00eates \u2013 un tour du monde en plusieurs \u00e9tapes nomm\u00e9 Participolis - sur les villes intelligentes ou qui s\u2019efforcent de l\u2019\u00eatre : 20 villes entre janvier 2014 et avril 2015.
